The Quiet Art of Learning to be okay
People often pretend that everything is okay.
They move through life acting according to expectations, carrying a heavy baggage of responsibility that fills every space, yet somehow leaves a void inside
We get stuck.
Stuck in life, stuck in routines, stuck in thoughts. And still, we tell ourselves that everything will pass. Maybe it will — but while waiting, we forget to listen to ourselves. We forget that choosing ourselves, again and again, is not selfish. It is growth. It is betterment.
Think about your younger self — the one who could cherish moments of joy, bursts of laughter, and small wins without overthinking. That version of you would want you to make things happen. Not what others want. What you want. To choose what truly makes you happy, because the world is already harsh enough. You don’t need to be that harsh on yourself too.
Mistakes are something we all live with.
Every new beginning comes with a new version of ourselves, learning the art of evolving while holding ourselves together. Accepting our mistakes is also an art — understanding our flaws, facing them, and deciding to move forward.
But is it really easy to learn from mistakes?
Is it easy to see every perspective and resolve every dilemma?
Is it easy to lean on someone who believes they can help you become a better version of yourself?
Is it okay to have someone who is willing to accept the mistakes you’ve made?
And is it okay that you’ve been hard on yourself?
At some point in life, you pause. You take a moment and realize that happiness doesn’t require everything to be perfect. Sometimes, it only takes adapting to small, simple aspects of life that bring intense joy.
That moment becomes a savior.
You accept that you are enough — on your own. No matter how difficult the path looks, the journey you choose begins within yourself.
Life becomes lighter when you start accepting, letting go, and learning to be okay with what you have.
And sometimes, that is all it takes.
